Michelle Welch MD

Dr. Welch is Board Certified in Internal Medicine, Diabetes, Endocrinology & Metabolism and is the founder of Diabetes and Metabolism Specialists San Antonio, PLLC in San Antonio, TX. She is also an Associate Clinical Professor of Medicine in Endocrinology at the University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio, and an Investigator at Consano Research, LLLP in San Antonio, TX.

She received her Master of Science in Biomechanics at the University of Southern California in Los Angeles, CA and her Medical Degree from Albany Medical College in Albany, NY. She completed her Residency in Internal Medicine and her Fellowship in Diabetes, Endocrinology & Metabolism at the University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio. She has extensive clinical research experience as a prime and sub-investigator on the topic of Type 1 and Type 2 diabetes.
